What is your idea of perfect happiness?

Just doing what you love and having special experiences. For me this usually means being at a fun show with great bands and like-minded people into art.

What is your most marked characteristic?

People seem to think I’m friendly and get along with people easily so I’d say friendly.

What do you consider your greatest achievement? What is your greatest fear?

Greatest achievement is probably finishing college and getting a job in the field I’ve studied in. Greatest fear is being too busy with life to do music.

Which historical figure do you most identify with?

J.R.R Tolkien because of his appreciation for the simple things in life, poetry, comradery, poetry and language. Also his sort of apprehensiveness to accept the modern world and rapid industrialization. I probably wouldn’t agree with all his views but I feel I can connect to a lot of the themes in his writing.

Which living person do you most admire?

My girlfriend because she’s very sweet, caring and supportive. She has a very big heart and treats everyone with respect and kindness.

 Who are your heroes in real life?

People who work hard to find their own path especially if they connect with and benefit other people. Anyone who runs their own record labels, independent businesses, non-profits, etc that help others and generally make the world a better place.

What is the trait you most deplore in yourself?

I can be pretty stubborn and slow to accept new things that I’m not seeking out on my own. I want to try to be better in that regard because I’m mostly too focused on my own little world.

 What is the trait you most deplore in others?

People’s unwillingness to see things from others perspectives. There’s a lot of closed minded people who think they’re worldview is the best. It’s important to understand that everyone has different experiences which shape our thoughts and views.

What is your favorite journey?

Getting into new music is a great journey. I’m always exploring different subgenres of music and it’s really cool to learn about different musical cultures and ideas. Specifically my discovery of different jazz styles has been a great journey.

 What do you consider the most overrated virtue?

That’s hard to think of. Maybe blind pride? A lot of people have a misplaced sense of pride and self righteousness towards their family or nation. It just sucks when people think their better than anyone else because of something they can’t control.

”To be fair”, “fair enough”

What is your greatest regret?

Being too focused on school to just enjoy life. I probably missed a lot of fun social and musical opportunities because I would stress myself up more than I needed to.

What is your current state of mind?

Just focused on self growth in my work career, relationships and music wise.

 If you could change one thing about your family, what would it be?

I wouldn’t change anything about the people in my life.

What is your most treasured possession?

My guitar (2016 Charvel San Dimas pro-mod)

What do you regard as the lowest depth of misery?

Losing everything that’s important in life.

Where would you like to live?

Either Vancouver, Victoria or somewhere in the UK. Probably any city with a strong music and arts scene.

What is your favorite occupation?

Being a career musician, working for a music festival or independent media group.

Humility

I like names of fictional places (Melnibone, Numenor, Undying Lands, Dunwitch) or names in other languages (Issei Noro, Leif Edling, Thomas Borje Forsburg)
