EMMA RUTH RUNDLE ANNOUNCES TOURS WITH THOU, MONO; PREMIERES DOCUMENTARY Rundle’s latest album, On Dark Horses, is available everywhere via Sargent House.

“…a mystic, swirling, vaguely threatening beauty. Guitars, drenched in fuzz and reverb, rise up, as if they’re emerging from some primordial ooze. Organs wail like ancient Greek mourners. And Rundle’s voice floats above the seething morass, graceful and triumphant, an angel welcoming the apocalypse.” – Stereogum

After promising a myriad of new developments throughout 2019, Sargent House artist Emma Ruth Rundle has begun unveiling her grand plans for the new year. The first of many is a batch of solo sets in support of Thou in March and April. The three-week jaunt will also include collaborative sets in select cities, as well as a special set at Roadburn Festival in the Netherlands. Later, Rundlewill spend the month of May touring alongside post-rock titans MONO in North America. A full tour itinerary can be found below.

Released in late 2017, On Dark Horses is Rundle’s most cinematic approach to her narratives on addiction, heartbreak and familial strife. A legendary road warrior, Emma Ruth Rundle spent the last year rehearsing and touring behind the album. Her time on the road and at home has been commemorated with an intimate documentary, directed by Geert Braekers, exploring the inextricable bond forged between Emma Ruth Rundle’s art and life.

Along with charting her path from the West Coast to her new home base of Louisville, Kentucky, the documentary sheds light on the artistic process propelling one of alternative music’s most prolific songwriters, a title emboldened by On Dark Horses. Her most recent LP as a solo artist, On Dark Horses is comprised of eight songs that are as disquieting as they are ethereal. Continuing the emotional post-mortem of 2016’s Marked For Death while honoring the savvy guitar work of 2011’s Electric Guitar: One and the heart-on-sleeve intensity of Some Heavy Ocean (2014), On Dark Horses is a culmination of both time and toil.

Catch Emma Ruth Rundle throughout North America in the coming months and stay tuned for more updates.
