“Melodic garage-punk… about letting go of the things that don’t matter.” – NPR
“An excellent reintroduction to the band’s particular brand fuzzed-out melodicism.” – Stereogum
“Bigger, catchier, more confident, and more uniquely the work of no other band” – Brooklyn Vegan
Culture Abuse released their acclaimed sophomore album Bay Dreamthis past June on Epitaph Records and have been busy in support of it non-stop.  Now, the band is preparing for a coast-to-coast jaunt with Nothing, which runs from the September 7th through 23rd.  Both bands are featured on the current cover New Noise Magazine, which includes a split flexi disc and a co-interview with the frontmen, David Kelling from Culture Abuse and Domenic Palermo of Nothing.
Today, Culture Abuse have announced an East Coast headline run featuring support from Gouge Away.  Commencing October 4th, the tour will route up the East Coast, ending with Culture Abuse’s appearance at Not Dead Yet in Toronto on October 14th. Culture Abuse and Gouge Away will continue across the pond for a two-week-long run in the UK, ending with an appearance at Groezrock on October 27th.  Look for a detailed list of tour dates below.
Produced, engineered, and mixed by Carlos de la Garza (Paramore, Jimmy Eat World, M83), Bay Dream follows Culture Abuse’s 2016 debut Peach and elevates their melody-heavy garage punk to a new level, drawing inspiration from artists as eclectic as Sly and the Family Stone, Paul Simon, and reggae legend Billy Boyo.  Bay Dreamhas been praised by outlets such as NPR, Stereogum, and Noisey, with the latter saying it was cheery and “sometimes downright saccharine.”  With the album’s lyrics largely informed by Kelling’s recent relocation from San Francisco to Los Angeles, physical and emotional movement play off each other effortlessly throughoutBay Dream.
Look for Culture Abuse on the road this Fall in support of Bay Dream and stay tuned for more news and updates to surface soon:
